• Steam Clean: Depending on the nature and size of the spill, it is advisable to perform a steam clean of the carpet.
• Change Carpet Tiles: Removable carpet tiles are a great way to protect against exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

The basic protocol for cleaning carpets and removing the threat of bloodborne pathogens: put on disposable gloves, contain the spill, initial disinfect, blot up excess fluids, extract absorbed fluids, re-disinfect, let sit, third disinfect, rinse, dry, and wrap up by properly disposing of all rags and PPE.
